Education has undergone profound transformations in recent years. Special and Inclusive Education was and is currently highlighted, contributing to a service plan for students with disabilities in schools where this population is capable to develop their potential. Therefore, this project aims to verify whether students diagnosed with ASD, in a state school in Rondonópolis-MT, have an understanding of Figures of Speech through a protocol of pedagogical activities, of an objective nature, to quantify a level of assimilation in the proposed context, since they are basic skills of official documents such as BNCC (National Common Curricular Base) and DRC-MT (Mato Grosso Curricular Reference Document). With the survey of the diagnostic results, a booklet, with the most common figures of speech, will be produced, illustrated and worked with them so that they become familiar with the expressions, aiming at internalizing their meanings and contributing to mastery of these skills. For this, data collection will be used through bibliographical research and field research. Therefore, literature on the topic will be analyzed, recorded and summarized; The field research will be carried out through the selection of four students with ASD, level 1 support, and one student with support level 3, all high school students – as these are the students most affected for not having had support since pre-school –, duly enrolled in the Resource Room of a school in the city of Rondonópolis-MT, in which they will be subjected to a diagnostic activity with 10 questions initially, with prior authorization from the Ethics Committee of the University of Mato Grosso, as well as from the parents and/or guardians of the students through the Consent Form. This diagnostic protocol will be made available via “Google Forms” and printed as best accepted by students. From the results obtained, activities will be created with variations of instruments such as alternative communication (which can be written or through images), booklets, videos, exercises through technological media in order to evaluate which will provide greater retention of the proposed content; various representations of Figures of Speech will be presented in order to contribute to fostering students' skills in terms of concerns the understanding of speeches with the presence of figurative expressions. This study is part of direct collaborative work with the teacher from the Resource and Multimedia Room (SRM) and aims to help teachers who work in basic education in serving this public who will increasingly be included in the common classroom, corroborating the reach of these skills, enabling better coping with life outside of school.
