RESUMO:

This work makes a study of the traditional Rikbaktsa farm, addressing aspects of the culture they bring with them, the inherent way of planting crops, the rituals and social organization of my people. The general objective of the research was to study the farm and the types of seeds that are from the Rikbaktsa people's own culture, as well as the natural foods that are part of our traditional diet, aiming at the way in which the people make their stump farm. And how it preserves its original seeds. The work was divided into five chapters. In the first chapter, issues about the contact of the Rikbaktsa people, social organization and the demarcation of the three areas were addressed: Escondido, Japuíra and Erikpaktsa. The second chapter gives an account of the traditional Rikbaktsa farm, brings the myth of the origin of the stump farm, the seeds that were discovered, where they are kept to this day and also discusses the knowledge of the soils that are chosen to make the farm and the plants that are still cultivated today by the Rikbaktsa people. The third chapter presents topics about natural foods, processed foods and the health of the Rikbaktsa people when consuming these products. The fourth chapter presents the research methodology developed in the Primavera village, field research with students in the countryside, work in the classroom and interviews with elders, young people and teenagers. In the fifth chapter I report on the production of data, research on the stump farm and the types of seeds that are planted in the farm. The methodology developed was qualitative in nature through interviews. By carrying out the study I was able to discover the importance of continuing to cultivate stump fields and the relevance of preserving seeds for our food, understanding that it is through the fields that we derive our livelihood and where envergonhe seeks natural foods for our sustenance. In addition to realizing through research that the act of doing traditional farming is directly linked to myths, rites and ceremonies of the Rikbaktsa culture. Based on this research and the knowledge acquired, I will encourage people to continue farming so that they can continue cultivating natural foods that benefit their health, leaving aside industrialized foods, preserving in this act of planting the culture alive and strengthened.
