LITERACY: LEARNING THROUGH KAWAIWETÉ NARRATIVES
Kawaiwete people. Oral Narratives. Learning. Teaching.
This research investigated teaching and learning through Kawaiwete narratives. Its specific objectives are: to understand that the history of the Kawaiwete people is what gives meaning to the lives of the people; learn about the stories of these people to be able to pass them on to other generations; record, not only orally, but also in writing, these stories. It is a qualitative, participant-type research with everyone in the community: researcher, elders, leaders, students and teachers. A decolonial proposal to learn by learning and researching within this community, and even with the use and recording of the Portuguese language, the texts are about the Kawaiwete people.
