This work is about Terena Environmental Education, the thinking and doing portrayed in the pedagogical practices of the Terena Komomoyea Kovoero Indigenous State School, in the Kuxonety Poke’e village, Iriri Novo Indigenous Land. It aimed to understand the knowledge and cultural practices of the Terena people who dialogue with Environmental Education considering the reality and problems within the territory for the development of pedagogical practices with students and the indigenous community itself about the importance of the relationship human being/nature. It is important to mention that the school, elders and families contributed a lot to the research, a qualitative research, with field classes together with 4th and 5th year students, we understand that there is a need for human contribution with care for nature, a commitment to Good Living, and a commitment to life and all living beings and to each of us living beings on this planet. The study demonstrated the importance of indigenous popular environmental education within the perspective of sustainability, considering our cosmovision, customs, traditions, knowledge and Terena spirituality, it also showed that indigenous school education can develop significant teaching work in the guidelines of interculturality in education Terena's own environmental environment.

In this work, I present the fruits of my research, carried out during my postgraduate course at the level of a professional master's degree in “Teaching in an Intercultural Indigenous Context” - PPGECII/UNEMAT. The title of my academic work is: “Ritual Chants: a dialog with Apyãwa school education”, which seeks to contribute to strengthening and maintaining the ritual chants of our people, based on pedagogical practices at school, which play a very important role in the oral modality of our language, as well as in the written modality. We chose to work on this topic because our schools have very few specific authorial didactic productions for teaching the songs of our Apyãwa people, and also as a way of enriching our teaching practices, especially in relation to our mother tongue. Therefore, this research is fundamental in the current context of our people, since the songs are the elements that are exclusively constituted by our language, or rather, they are the riches of our ancestral language.The methodology of my work is primarily composed of the knowledge of native consultants, such as elders, Apyãwa students and bibliographical research, reading Tapirapé authors, Freire, Franco, among others. As we are dealing with the teaching and strengthening of Apyãwa songs in the school context, the focus is on pedagogical action, in accordance with our school's curriculum proposal, present in our Political Pedagogical Project (PPP). The pedagogical action took place along a didactic-methodological path, during which the entire teaching-learning process focused on the ritual songs, through reading and written production. Another purpose of the work is aimed at empowering our language policy in the community to generate more sources of ancestral knowledge to improve and enrich the pedagogical practice of Apyãwa teachers in the effective training of students. For this reason, it is worth emphasizing that the production of materials on this subject is extremely important for the teaching of mother tongue in Apyãwa village schools, since the ritual songs are made up of our language. A nossa língua é viva, em pleno funcionamento, resistindo à presença da língua ocidental em nosso meio. Portanto, este trabalho é de extrema importância para nutrir a política de valorização da língua Apyãwa, por meio de cantos rituais, tanto no contexto da educação escolar Apyãwa, quanto no contexto educação Apyãwa. Por fim, também, quero destacar o produto educacional que resultou de todo esse processo didático-pedagógico, que foi a produção de um livro de cantos Axywewoja, acompanhado de material audiovisual.

In this dissertation I present my autoethnography, focusing on my life story, as I am a trilingual person, speaking the Apyãwa, Iny and Portuguese languages. I also analyze the sociolinguistic reality of the Majtyritãwa Village, located in the Tapirapé Karaja Indigenous Area, municipality of Santa Terezinha, MT. Most of the people who live in this village are also trilingual and this reality has repercussions on the life of the school. My proposal for a pedagogical product is precisely a book that contemplates the two indigenous languages, Iny and Tapirapé to meet this reality.

This dissertation brings a discussion about the teaching of the Portuguese language from traditional culinary recipes of the Terena people. The work aims to teach the Portuguese language through textual genres: culinary recipe, interview and report, with the concern of making a cultural revitalization of the traditional cuisine of the Terena people of Mato Grosso. In the work, the students developed an investigation on the cuisine of the Terena people, in which they interview about traditional food, seeking pertinent information that helps them better understand how food is prepared and also about the main ingredients they use. From the investigation, they systematized different traditional recipes and produced reports on the cultivation and harvesting of the products used in the recipes. The activities were carried out based on planned didactic sequences, developed in the classroom and evaluated. In this practice, different activities of reading, writing and linguistic reflection were carried out, seeking to favor the students' learning. The research is based on authors who deal with the teaching of languages and textual genres. The methodology is qualitative, with the use of various production techniques and data collection. From the investigation on the foods and the activities with the culinary recipes, interview and report, a book of traditional culinary recipes of the Terena people of MT was organized and, later, will be made available at the school. This will be of great relevance to the school community, as it will allow students to pass on their knowledge acquired in research, contributing to the cultural strengthening of the people.

The research, experience and description carried out on THE ART AND TECHNIQUE IN MAKING BASKETS OF THE HALITI-PARESI PEOPLE in the Postgraduate Program in Intercultural Indigenous Context of the University of Mato Grosso, was carried out with the elders, shamans, artisans, elementary school students, high school students and communities at the Cabeceira do Sacre Indigenous Municipal School in the Cabeceira do Sacre village in the Paresi Indigenous Land - MT and in its annex Estivadinho in the Estivadinho village of the Estivadinho Indigenous Land in the municipality of Tangará da Serra - MT. The research, experience and description was in the form of participatory with the objective of observing, understanding and learning THE ART AND TECHNIQUE IN MAKING BASKETS OF THE HALITI-PARESI PEOPLE. With the intention of helping to strengthen the concern of artisans in making baskets, in which these practices of the Haliti-Paresi people are at risk of becoming extinct. To understand the problem and the situation that is at risk, according to the reports of the elders, shamans and artisans, I carried out native and bibliographic consultations. After that, I held three workshops on making abali (apá) and koehe (a basket made from buriti leaves). In order to understand and create new strategies to strengthen the practice and existence of baskets in the community through research and Indigenous School Education. One of the objectives is to innovate practices through research and experience so that the practice can be strengthened in the light of ethnomathematics. Through observation, learning and experience, we can say that one of the ways to strengthen the culture of any people is with the opportunity that we have in science to make small paths to strengthen that which is part of our lives and our people.

This research aims to analyze and discuss exclusively the knowledge system of Traditional Hunters and the social functions of Apyãwa hunters, taking into account respect for the phenomena that affect us in life in relation to culture, which make many teenagers and young people Apyãwa are unable to take advantage of the knowledge of our culture. Instead of opposing the strong influx of elements of non-indigenous culture, they have subjected our culture to the risk of disappearance, highlighting the greater interest in learning the culture of national society. As happened with other indigenous peoples, who today no longer practice indigenous culture, as their own practice and culture. The main objectives of the work are to discuss the following issues: Seek knowledge and techniques from traditional Apyãwa hunters; The importance of traditional culture for maintaining our ancient knowledge and the need to strengthen the practice, history, sacred place and knowledge of the Apyãwa people. The possible impoverishment of culture will also be discussed, when the practice loses its potential. My biggest concern is that, in my view, the knowledge, technology, language, rituals, food and social organization of the Apyãwa are not only changing, but practices are shifting and being replaced by non-indigenous knowledge and objects. And this is causing countless problematic situations, not only in the written system, but also in the cultural practices of our people.

This work deals with the importance of the name in the Boe Bororo mother tongue, a cultural practice that is currently disappearing among children and young people, as they are losing the habit of calling each other by name in their mother tongue. For this reason, its main objective is to produce a glossary with the names and meanings of the students, because I believe that once the children know the meanings, they will call their classmates by name in their mother tongue, because our names in Boe Bororo have meanings that involve nature, such as birds, animals, fish, rivers and streams, according to each person's clan and sub-clan. The work was produced from the ancient knowledge of my people, which we try to pass on from generation to generation. To make it, I did some research with a village elder, Mr. Joaquim Batista Burudui (in memorian), teachers from my school, and some women. I also researched some books, such as the encyclopedia and dictionary of the Boe Bororo mother tongue. Supported by this initial research, I worked on this topic with students from the 1st year (primary school) to the 6th year of elementary school II, in the afternoon, starting with their own names. My aim in working with these classes was because I noticed in one of my lessons that when I called out the name Boe Bororo in class, they didn't respond.This reinforced in me, as a teacher and also as a Boe Bororo, how important it was to revive this ancestral knowledge, which is so important to our identity. There, I saw the school as a valuable instrument to help revive this knowledge and, at the same time, as one of the ways to strengthen our mother tongue, which is indispensable in our Boe naming process. The result was very good, because now the students know what their names mean. I've seen that I've managed to make them understand the importance of names, because when I'm in the classroom teaching, I hear them call each other by name in Boe Bororo, without being asked. This is very important and significant for us, because when I started the research, I noticed that the students didn't call each other by their mother tongue names. Through this research, I've been working on this with them, showing them the meaning of names and how important it is, as a way of strengthening our identity as Boe. That's how they've been learning, because it wasn't just once that I talked to them, I came back to this class several times to talk about the meanings of names and, with that, we're getting back to the practice of naming in our mother tongue. I therefore hope that the educational product produced, together with my research, will serve as pedagogical support material for all Boe Bororo schools.

It is important and necessary that young people and students in the school community preserve, revitalize and maintain their ancestral culture of body painting, the graphics of the Iny Karajá people. Therefore, the objective of this research is to study and describe the graphics and body paintings and rituals of the culture of the Iny Karajá people. The use of body painting in the indigenous society of the Iny people is very important. The graphics are used during the traditional cultural festival, in all the rituals and festivities of the Inymahadu people (Iny people). Painting on some part of the body is an identification of the indigenous Iny people. Originally, the Iny people use graphics in their daily lives, mainly in the ceremonial festivals and rituals held in the village (Krehawa). On the day of the ritual of passage from boyhood to adolescence, the boys, mothers, aunts or uncles would paint the boys, girls, teenagers and pre-teens with graphic body painting (weryrybo, jyre, bodú, ijadokoma) so that they could dance and sing at the traditional hetohoky festival. The painting represents joy and hope. This is its meaning for the Iny people. Each graphic has its historical meaning, therefore, in the family and at school, teaching graphic art is of utmost importance for the learning of the young Iny, to maintain the family tradition, and to always maintain this work of aligning painting and the graphic art of the Iny people. This research was carried out based on written observation of daily cultural practices, using the auto-ethnographic methodology and has as an educational product the production of a pedagogical notebook that encourages graphic art in indigenous schools.

In this work, I present four illustrated Haliti-Paresi stories, as a proposal for teaching support material for the early years of our indigenous schools, with a focus on our mother tongue. One of these stories was told in the Haliti Zako language by the elder Rosângela from our Kolidiki village, Haliti-Paresi Indigenous Land, in the municipality of Tangará da Serra-MT, in a storytelling circle for the children on a summer's evening in April 2024. The other three narratives were told by teacher Ângelo Kezomae and then transcribed into the mother tongue. The revision of the writing of these narratives also counted on the collaboration of teacher Ângelo, who helped to correct the spelling of the language. The stories were illustrated by one of the school's students, under my guidance. The idea of developing this work, bringing some of our stories as didactic support material for teaching mother tongue in the early years, is because we Haliti teachers are very concerned about our language in the community, remembering that we are in a globalized world, so our role is fundamental in this teaching and learning process.With this in mind, we need to propose and plan our own activities, produce our own specific teaching materials so that the children value and feel comfortable expressing themselves in our own language, both orally and in writing. This will strengthen the Haliti language and keep it alive among us. What's more, listening and dialog between our traditional education and school education is fundamental, because it's a way of strengthening our traditional knowledge, since school, for us, is a great ally in this process.

This research was conducted in the Kurâ-Bakairí Villages communities, in the Bakairi Indigenous Land, located in the municipalities of Paranatinga and Planalto da Serra, state of Mato Grosso, Brazil. Using a qualitative hetinographic approach and participant observation, the research had as its main objective to present the Kurâ-Bakairí culture, specifically the graphics. And as specific: 1) to present the Kurâ-Bakairí people in relation to the social and cultural aspects; 2) to present the communities that belong to the Bakairi Indigenous Land, from the origin to the present day; 3) to produce a catalog containing the Kurâ-Bakairí graphics. To create this material, it was necessary to have the help of teachers, principals and students to illustrate the figures or draw the male and female body paintings, in addition to conversations with the elders. This material may be used at the Kurâ-Bakairí State Indigenous School, José Pires Uluko Municipal Indigenous School, Aturua State Basic Education School, Otávio Kurewe Municipal Indigenous School, Paikum Municipal Indigenous School and Vicente Kaiawa Municipal Indigenous School of the Bakairi Indigenous Land in the Paranatinga region of MT, with the aim of strengthening the identity and culture of these people, which was revitalized at the Kurâ-Bakairí State Indigenous School, an institution that is the result of intense demands by these people for the recognition and legitimization of their culture. Once learned orally, it is engraved in the memory, always practicing in class with other classmates, with the student acting as an instructor for the companion, but slow in learning, once what we learn in school and in life remains for the rest of our lives, we will never forget it.

This study addresses the linguistic and cultural reality of the Rikbaktsa people, highlighting the challenges faced in preserving their mother tongue in a context of increasing Portuguese influence. The author, a member of this ethnicity, recounts his personal and academic journey, emphasizing how schooling and the training of indigenous teachers have been fundamental strategies for strengthening the cultural and linguistic identity of his people. The main objective of the research is to develop pedagogical materials for primary education, supporting the teaching of the Rikbaktsa mother tongue through traditional narratives. The methodology initially involves collecting narratives from elders (collaborators). In the second stage, these oral narratives are presented to children in school, who then record them in their mother tongue. After these steps, a theoretical-reflective text is produced. The study reaffirms the importance of differentiated indigenous education as a means of cultural and identity resistance, promoting linguistic revitalization and ensuring that new generations can learn and use the Rikbaktsa language more effectively both inside and outside the school.

The theme chosen for this research is “The Fire Hunt of the A’uwe 'Rãpré – Xavante People.” This is a relevant topic for a cultural/autoethnographic study because it links the fire hunt ritual with the marriage ritual—both of which have existed for hundreds of years and are considered inseparable within A’uwe 'Rãpré (Xavante) culture. With the arrival of modern influences in our Indigenous villages—such as new teaching methods in schools and the introduction of mobile phones—many aspects of our culture have changed. This research is essential for preserving elements of our culture, highlighting the significance of the fire hunt in strengthening the A’uwe 'Rãpré (Xavante) way of life. The research was methodologically built through interviews with elders, whose memories enabled the autoethnographic writing of the text. Many stories were told by the elders, and some were witnessed by the researcher. The interviews were transcribed, as they represent valuable ancestral knowledge and lived histories.
This dissertation is justified by the need to create a record of the fire hunt and to provide schools with educational material, so that A’uwe 'Rãpré (Xavante) Indigenous teachers—or others—can work on this theme with their students. Oral tradition also undergoes a process of preservation when documented. Therefore, this study aims to understand the meaning of the fire hunt for the life and education of the A’uwe 'Rãpré (Xavante) people. The name A’uwe 'Rãpré (Xavante) means "red-headed warrior people," speakers of a Jê language. Since the time of our ancestors, our struggle has continued for the recognition of the fire hunt of the A’uwẽ Uptabi (Xavante) people. We hope this research can support teachers in working with this topic as a way to keep our people's identity alive.

The dissertation "Ethnoarte" explores the indigenous art of the Karajá – or Inỹ – as a cultural and symbolic manifestation that goes beyond aesthetics. Located on the banks of the Araguaia River, the Inỹ people use ethnoart, in forms such as sculpture and ceramics, to express and preserve their identity and history, transmitting values and knowledge throughout the generations. The work analyzes Karajá ethnoart as a "cultural territory", a symbolic extension of its connection with nature and spirituality, which reinforces its cultural resistance in the face of external pressures and territorial conflicts. The general objective is to investigate the role of ethnoart in preserving the cultural identity and territory of Inỹ-Karajá, analyzing the challenges and opportunities arising from its interaction with the art market. The dissertation also examines the growing commercialization of ethnoart, highlighting the dilemmas that arise from cultural appropriation and the contemporary art market, where the cultural value of pieces is often neglected in favor of profit. By problematizing the sale of ethnoart and the risk of mischaracterization, the research questions how this practice impacts the preservation of Inỹ traditions and cultural territory. Based on a bibliographical review of studies between 2010 and 2024, the study seeks to identify guidelines that promote the valorization and sustainable commercialization of Karajá ethnoart, contributing to the integrity and cultural autonomy of the Inỹ.

Self-determination is a fundamental theme for all peoples, but for the indigenous peoples it is a matter of survival, after all, throughout history these peoples have suffered true sociocultural and, often, physical erasure, as occurred in the early days of the formation of Brazil. In this sense, in order to understand what self-determination would be like and its importance for the maintenance of Bororo culture, the research, of a qualitative nature, using autobiography and self-report as storytelling mechanisms. Part of the research was developed at the village school located in the Bororo territory in Mato Grosso, especially in the constitution of the two Educational Products: Legend and Workshop. Thus, the dissertation seeks to propose pedagogical and reflective instruments that contribute to the strengthening of Bororo Boe self-determination, respecting their worldview, their social organization and their inalienable right to exist according to their own way of being in the world.

This research is an ethnographic study about Haloti women and their role in the Haliti-Paresi indigenous society. The relevance of this theme is in the possibility to safeguard the knowledge of Haloti women and ensure that these can be passed on to new generations. In order to understand how Haloti women prepare each other for acting in the Haliti-Paresi indigenous society, participatory observations and dialogues on the role of women in education and indigenous movements were conducted. The research portrays experiences of the researcher, who as well as the other women present in this study, is also a Haloti. It is in this context that the dialogues between the knowledge that the researcher obtained in her academic training process with her own education made in conjunction with the women of her people are articulated. Thus, the study of bibliographies, from the decolonial perspective on research with indigenous women, to the foundation of teaching processes involving Haloti women, dialogue with an explicit world reading from the vision of the female in the conception of the Haliti-Paresi people. Already the stage of conversations and observations, which were recorded with images and audios, supported the ideas obtained in the readings and that were portrayed in the educational product that was a documentary. As a result of this study, we found reports of women who confirm, since their ancestry, a formative process in which they teach and learn a culture represented in its most diverse manifestations of knowledge and practices. The entire research process is presented both in this text that follows, and in the educational product in video format that presents itself in link format for public access on YouTube channel.

ABSTRACT
This research reflects on the teaching of the Kawaiwete language in literacy. The objective is to understand the literacy process in the mother tongue and describe how it occurs in the classroom. The research methodology is an oral, descriptive, and participatory qualitative approach. It is being carried out in the village of Tatuí, in the municipality of Juara-MT, with students and teachers from the community. The question is to know what is the importance of the mother tongue for the Kawaiwete people? In particular, how are children learning their mother tongue at the beginning of literacy? According to the research, elders are important in contributing to the mother tongue in school.

The aim of this research is to revitalize, encourage, and strengthen the use of this language in the classroom with students from the same people at the Pakuera Village School in the Bakairi Indigenous Land, in the city of Paranatinga, Mato Grosso. This school receives students from all other villages, including non-Indigenous residents of neighboring farms. The research is justified because the Kurâ-Bakairi language, although still spoken daily for communication, has been infused with "foreign" terms that have been gaining ground in the community's discourse, enchanting and absorbing part of our people's culture. We need to understand and learn this two-way street, if only to ensure the survival of our mother tongue. The aim is to work with this language, seeking to strengthen it through the study of neologisms used by high school students at the Kurâ-Bakairi State Indigenous School. This study explores ways to introduce new words that can replace "Portuguese" names with names in the Kurâ-Bakairi language. This research uses household appliances found in our villages, as our primary concern is preserving our native language. The work involved interviews with wise men and women, some village teachers, and participation in workshops and seminars, as well as in cultural activities in the village, school activities, and community conversations, which address issues and problems related to the Kurâ-Bakairi people and their traditional knowledge. A documentation of native language words taught by parents and within the family was compiled and will be made available for exclusive use by the community school as a pedagogical product aimed at strengthening these words. This product features illustrations created by the students, depicting various usage situations involving males and females. From this, activities were developed to study the Bakairi language from a word perspective, through various classroom activities and group development. This research yielded very satisfactory results both in the classroom, through diverse activities developed by the students, and outside of school, through continued use in daily life, as well as in other community settings.

The annatto was discovered in the forest by the Xavante ancestors, becoming a constitutive element of Xavante education and culture. The main objective is to understand the cultural and educational aspects involved in the way the Xavante use annatto in traditional ceremonies. Specific objectives include understanding the complexity of the annatto usage process in body painting within Xavante culture; defining the main ways annatto is used among the Xavante; establishing effective educational strategies for the use of annatto in the Xavante tradition among younger generations. From a methodological perspective, this research follows a model that contains elements of a qualitative approach, in its dimension known as participant observation, as well as quantitative. Thus, authors such as Lewis (1984), Verona (2009), Vilianes, and Leão (2017) were consulted to broaden the analysis of the topic at hand. The research also sought to give voice to the elders due to their life experience related to working with annatto, its plantations, body painting, and its preparation methods. The instruments used for this purpose were both interviews and group discussions with Mr. Fortunato. The research results strongly emphasize the importance of conceiving and implementing an educational approach that provides the actors involved in the teaching and learning process with an education rooted in indigenous cultural elements, combined with certain aspects of the surrounding world, in order to foster the practice of an Amerindian citizenship focused on addressing the needs of the local community.

This research was carried out in the Tapi’itãwa Village, Urubu Branco Indigenous Land, Municipality of Confresa-MT. My main objective was to study the naming processes of the Apyãwa people, based on different characters who lived in different periods of history, using the same names. According to my research work, I will contribute to my community by interacting with the school and the wise men in order to correctly teach our true naming sequences in each Apyãwa gender. Also, through written records, the naming will be used according to each phase of their life, that is, according to the predominance in the name of each family. My greatest concern is learning how to use the sequence of names, especially in practical activities. For this reason, it is very rewarding to develop our own teaching materials according to our Apyãwa reality, while our wise men are alive, because they considered it a living library so that this Apyãwa identity can be continued and valued by the new generation. This also helps us to better understand each Apyãwa family, without using the names of other families that are passed on to each age group. In all of this work, I had to ask the wise men for help, who are trying to learn more about the names. This research therefore proposes, in a very clear way, a return to the important role in correctly learning the use of each name. The pedagogical product resulting from this research is the production of a book about Apyãwa names to be used in Apyãwa/Tapirapé schools.
