RESUMO:

The main objective of this research is to expand critical reflections on the forms of violence against women represented, through female characters in the narratives “Buquê de línguas” (p.13-24), “A rebelião de Magnólia” (p. 33-46), “Cena em sustenido” (p. 65-70), “Georgina na janela” (p. 79-84), e “Por onde andarás?” (p. 85-88), selected as the corpus of this study, which make up the collection, published posthumously in 2008, Bouquet of languages, by Tereza Albues, which makes up the corpus of this study. The texts discuss different forms of violence suffered by women, a consequence of the patriarchal heritage that conceived the female figure as inferior and unimportant in the social composition. The research contributed theoretically and critically to the theses postulated by researchers in the relationship between Literature, History, Politics and Society, such as Bosi (2013), Abdala Júnior (2007), Lucas (1987), Ginzburg (2007), Candido (2000), Todorov (2000). To support critical reflection on the situation of women in society, the research sought support from the studies of Simone de Beauvoir (1970); Nísia Floresta (1832 and 1859) and Mary Del Priore (2004). Literature aims to lead the reader to reflection, so that each moment is internalized, promoting the reframing of their reality. In this way, combining narratives of everyday facts with social themes, Tereza Albues draws the attention of readers of her stories to situations they have witnessed.
