"I write the body, I show taste": João Gilberto Noll under the crack of desire.
A céu aberto. Romance. Homoeroticism. Body. Fragmentation.
This research analyzes the representation of the body in its fragmentation, eroticism and transience, presented in the novel A Céu Aberto (1996), by João Gilberto Noll, understanding the way in which the narrator establishes the relationship with the social context in which the characters are inserted. It is noted, in this sense, that the Nollian text seems to demarcate a complex and bifurcated territory regarding the homoerotic archeology present in the narrative course of the characters, having as its basic premise the body in transfiguration and itinerancy. In this context, in addition to the analysis of the work in question, an overview is also made of the textualization of eroticism in contemporary Brazilian literature, as well as other works by João Gilberto Noll. We mainly use, as a theoretical basis, the studies of BATAILLE (1987), BARTHES (2003), GARCIA (2004), DUMOULIÉ (2005) and BRANDÃO (2019).
