SINGING HISTORY: MUSIC IN THE CLASSROOM AS A PEDAGOGICAL FACILITATING TOOL IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF HISTORICAL CONSCIOUSNESS

The research addresses the use of music as a pedagogical resource in the classroom, aiming to facilitate the construction of historical awareness in students. It explores how music can enrich the learning process, engaging students creatively and providing a deeper and more meaningful understanding of history. The study discusses effective strategies for incorporating music into history teaching, highlighting its benefits in promoting critical thinking and emotional connection with historical events. The analysis highlights the importance of an educational environment that values interdisciplinarity and cultural diversity, enhancing music as a powerful pedagogical tool to improve students' historical awareness. To this end, it is essential that we investigate the historical trajectory of transformations in History teaching in Brazil. This analysis will allow us to understand the implementation of each modification, identifying the circumstances in which they occurred and their connection with the specific political contexts of each era. Only in this way can we achieve a comprehensive understanding of the evolution of teaching over time and the new tools that can be used in the teaching-learning process. Using music as a facilitating resource in the history subject can be a valuable stimulus for students. Using music as a didactic-pedagogical instrument in Basic Education to teach history can prove to be highly effective and captivating. This approach can make historical concepts more accessible by providing a way for students to connect with past events and contexts.
