RESUMO:

Among the natural resources that are important for the maintenance of human life, are: water, which is the source of numerous social activities such as hygiene, leisure, industry and agriculture; and the soil, which, like water, has a wide range of uses, but the most important are the capture of rainwater and its drainage into groundwater and the obtaining of food from agriculture. There is a great concern on the part of society about the pollution of water resources arising from agricultural production on a large scale, especially in commodities. The use of pesticides is closely linked to the pace of production, that is, the more areas that can be cultivated, the greater the use of these agricultural inputs, which in turn can have major impacts on water resources and their ecosystems and the soil microbiota. In view of this environmental concern, this research is justified by the acquisition of information and identification of the active ingredients used in the main crops in the municipalities in the drainage area of the Alto Juruena Basin, in order to understand the risks that these substances represent in the pesticide pollution process of surface water. and underground through the collection of quantitative and qualitative data mainly from government agencies and regulatory agencies, data tabulation and application of a specific algorithm that indicates the risk of contamination of ground and surface water in the study area by the solubility of the pesticide in water, by its half-life in the soil and for its infiltration power in the soil. It was observed that in the region there is a high rate of use of pesticides with high power of environmental contamination as well as toxic to human health, such as Paraquate, which had its commercialization banned in the year 2020.
