READING OPINION ARTICLES MEDIATED BY DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES

Schools deal with a generation of students who use new digital technologies on a daily basis. Presented earlier and earlier in the family environment, there is no way to escape this reality. Improving students' teaching-learning in this new era requires teachers to mediate the development of reading and writing skills and successfully direct them to master technological resources. This research addresses the need to integrate Digital Information and Communication Technologies (TDIC) in the teaching of Portuguese Language (LP), 9th year of Elementary School, aligned with the objectives of the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC) and the Curricular Reference Document of Mato Grosso (DRCMT) and proposes, through the Didactic Sequence (SD) - based on the approach of Dolz, Noverraz and Schneuwly (2004) - to use the opinion article genre as a tool that enhances criticality. Based on Critical Applied Linguistics (LAC), the discussions are based on the work carried out by Kleiman (2006), Antunes (2009), Xavier (2010), Barros (2012), Rojo (2012, 2013), to name a few. From the perspective of contributing to critical and ethical PL teaching in state public schools in Mato Grosso / MT.
