This work seeks to analyze the representation of the peasant and the countryside in the work Antes do amor, by Marli Walker and in the cordéis A Vantagens da Riqueza and O Cordel da Reforma Agrária, by Luzimar Medeiros Braga, also reflecting on the identity and the elements that interfere in the your training. As a social group left on the sidelines by big capital, peasants have been muted in their histories, cultures, traditions, as well as in issues related to the economy and environment and, in this process, have suffered major impacts from the process of implementing innovations. technologies in rural food production. Therefore, it would be interesting to understand how these themes are presented by the works in question, as well as the possible meanings they suggest. The research methodology used to carry out the work is bibliographic, and the theoretical foundation is based mainly on the works of Sigmund Bauman (1999), Stuart Hall (2006), Michel Foucault (1979), and Ecléa Bosi (1994) , which address questions about identity, memory, modernity and power relations, which are essential for carrying out the research work. Works on cordel literature will also be used, such as Santos (2017) and SILVA (2015), as well as studies on the history of rural colonization in the northern region of Mato Grosso, carried out by Peripolli (2008) and Souza (2008). ). The texts by Antonio Candido (1972/1984/1996) and Alfredo Bosi will also be of great value for the foundation (1977) of the analyzes of the cordéis and the poems. Both in Marli Walker's poems and in Luzimar Braga's cordéis, social conflicts are presented directly and indirectly, bringing representations of the countryside and peasants capable of highlighting injustices and social ills that want to be naturalized by hegemonic ideologies linked to the functioning of big capital. and agribusiness.
