RESUMO:

Abstract: This research is located in the field of literary studies, and focuses on the study of the poetic image found in the poems in the book Haluares, by Ivens Cuiabano Scaff. We aim to contribute to the promotion of literary literacy among students in the 7th year of Elementary School, strengthening the development of reading competence through a work of literature produced in Mato Grosso. This is qualitative research that, as a method, will use action research. The basic sequence proposed by Cosson (2021) and the Didactic Sequence suggested by Dolz, Noverraz & Schneuwly (2004), will serve as inspiration for organizing our sequence of activities that aim to promote literary actions that extend beyond the school walls. The didactic proposal will be developed in the after-school hours with a class of 7th year students from Escola Estadual 12 de Abril, with the book Haluares, entirely composed of poems about the moon, as the main literary work to be worked on during the development of this study.
