RESUMO:

This pedagogical intervention project will be developed in the Professional Master's Degree in Letters (PROFLETRAS/UNEMAT/Sinop-MT) and will serve 9th grade students of Elementary School II of a state school in the municipality of Alta Floresta -MT. To carry out the project, the methodology of action research and a sequence of activities will be adopted, according to the didactic procedures proposed by Dolz, Noverraz and Schneuwly (2004). The objective of this project is to use Cordel Literature in the teaching of the Portuguese Language, assisting students of Elementary School II in the skills of speaking, interpreting and writing with property, awareness of reading and writing, valuing linguistic and cultural diversities. The characteristics of the cordel, its application as a methodological resource, the presence of cultural and social diversities in its literary context, and the semantic-lexical variation will be discussed, seeking to exploit its elements to stimulate the teaching and learning of students and deconstruct linguistic prejudice. The research will have a theoretical contribution based on the Educational Sociolinguistics coined in Brazil by Bortoni-Ricardo (2005), in addition to the use of other authors.  The project will result in an e-book that will include the strings written by the students and can be shared with the class, the school and others interested in Cordel Literature. The goal is to motivate and value students with the publication of their works, in addition to disseminating the northeastern and Brazilian cultures through Cordel's literature.
