This research aims to analyze the configuration of homoeroticism in contemporary Brazilian romance, using as its corpus the work O amor dos Homens Avulsos (2016), by Victor Heringer. From this perspective, one can note, in the narrative architecture of the novel, the establishment of four regulatory instances for the structuring of homoeroticism in the work in question, namely: childhood, sex, loss and memory. In the landscape engendered by these topics, there is a narrative that presents the notions of despair, loneliness and, notably, guilt. However, the work, through references and references, addresses several diverse themes, such as religion, politics, philosophy and clearly weaves social criticism regarding human behavior. In this sense, the research will be developed based on detailed readings about the work selected as corpus, in addition to bibliographical investigation in the light of some theorists and critics, such as: Antonio Candido (1987), Ricardo Thomé (2009), Michel Foucault (1984), Oscar Tacca (1983), among others.
