From silence to the abyss, procession of memories: the architecture of the feminine in "Torto Arado", by Itamar Vieira Júnior.
Itamar Vieira Junior. Torto Arado. Corpo Feminino negro. Memória.
This research proposes an analytical-literary study of the Brazilian novel contemporary "Torto Arado" (2019), by Itamar Vieira Junior, taking as its trunk the theory of Antonio Candido (2006), on the conception that the relationship between literature and society contributes for the general economy of the text. The analyzes are aimed at understanding the representation of the subaltern black female body through memorialistic discourse, which is the guiding thread in the novel, orchestrated by three female voices, responsible for the intertwining of past and present in the narrative. In this sense, we perceive the body as a central element of the novel, especially for establishing the connection between memory, land and the act of narrating. In this sense, the feminine is organized in the text through elements that engender their presence in the development of the narrative. That said, to analyze the relationships established between the representation of the female body and its implications, a contribution will be sought theoretical in Ricouer (2007), Bourdieu (2020), Le Breton (2016), Zumthor (2007), primarily.
