Of your body in cinnamon, of your resignified memory: Homoeroticism in O amor dos homens avulsos, by Victor Heringer

This research proposes to analyze the configuration of homoeroticism in the contemporary Brazilian novel O amor dos homens avulsos (2016), by Victor Heringer. From this perspective, it is noted, in the narrative architecture of the novel, the establishment of four regulating instances to the structuring of homoeroticism in the work in question, namely: childhood, sex, loss and memory. In the landscape engendered by these topics, there is a narrative that makes present the notions of disconsolation, loneliness and, notably, guilt. However, the work, through references and references, addresses several other themes, such as religion, politics, philosophy and weaves evident social criticism regarding human behavior. In this sense, the research will be developed from detailed readings about the work selected as corpus, in addition to bibliographical investigation in the light of some theorists and critics, such as: Antonio Candido (1987), Ricardo Thomé (2009), Michel Foucault (1984), Mikhail Bakhtin (1993), Daniel Lance (2015), Roland Barthes (2018), among others.
