RESUMO:

The present research undertakes a critical and literary investigation, having as corpus the tales Farol das almas, Alma and Doramar ou a odisseia, contained in the work “Doramar ou a odisseia: Histórias” (2021), by Itamar Vieira Junior. From these narratives, we will focus on the construction of black female characters and memory, understanding them as memory-bodies in performance within fictional regimes in which violence is intersected. To this end, methodologically, we will carry out a bibliographical study, theoretically mobilizing several concepts related to Literary Studies, but also to other epistemic fields that can collaborate for the analysis of the selected corpus, thus assuming an interdisciplinary character. In this sense, for investigation, we will call in CORTÁZAR (2006) and PIGLIA (2004), SAMOYAULT (2008), RICOEUR (2007) and ZUMTHOR (1997), STATES (2001) and SARDUY (1979) BOSI (1992, 2002), CANDIDO ( 1970), AKOTIRENE (2019), DAVIS (2016) and HOOKS (2019). In this sense, such research will involve the verification of aesthetic and internal aspects of the short stories, but also external elements related to the writer's choices for the configuration of his literary creation.
