LITERARY ADAPTATION IN COMICS: CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE TRAINING OF LITERARY READERS IN THE FINAL YEARS OF ELEMENTARY EDUCATION
Teaching and Literature; Reader training; Comic adaptation;
In this study, we propose the use of literary adaptations in Comics for an approach to the literary text in elementary school II, with the aim of bringing the reader closer to literary texts. We present in our work activities developed with a group of the 8th grade of elementary school in a school in Várzea Grande- MT, with the text Conto de Escola by Machado de Assis and adapted for comics by Francisco Vilachã. In this perspective, a literary literacy strategy was developed, based on the basic sequence of Cosson (2014) on the elements that constitute Comics, based on Ramos (2022) and Rama and Vergueiro (2022) that point to the comic narrative reading, an alternative to present the reading of the literary text. We present the description of the activities and the works developed by the students, who adapted the story from the perspective of other characters and also for the comics. To support our work, we sought theoretical and critical foundations in some researchers, such as Zilberman (1984, 1986, 1990, 2005, 2007, 2009), Aguiar and Bordini (1993), Candido (2000, 2006, 2011), Colomer (2003 , 2007, 2017) among others.
