This research proposes to analyze the novelist production of the contemporary writer Ricardo Lísias. Through the reading of the novel Divorce (2013), which has fifteen chapters, which are entitled kilometers. We suggest a discussion about making contemporary romance in Lísias. For this purpose, we established in the course of this dissertation a study of the narrator, characters; contemporary romance structure; as well as talked about love and betrayal and; aspects of literature and social life. We embark on the critical fortune for study of the São Paulo writer. After these inquiries, we investigated the aesthetic composition employed by the actor to model his narrative. For the study, some of these works were chosen as part of the theoretical foundation: Bakhtin (2014), Barthes (1981); Benjamin (1987),Candido (2006), Doubrovsky (1977), Foucault (2013), Goldman (1976) and Blanchot (2005).
