RESUMO:

Agriculture has been the main economic activity in the State of Mato Grosso. Thus, many of our students at the school develop an interest in professional work in the agrarian area. Faced with one of the pillars of basic education, which is also based on preparing students for the world of work, it has been observed that little information is worked on at school in relation to agriculture and especially on the importance of microorganisms for the development of a Sustainable Agriculture. Given this scenario, this work aims to demonstrate the importance and benefits of microorganisms in agriculture through investigative didactic strategies validated with high school students, ascertaining students' perception of the importance of microorganisms in agriculture and building and validating a didactic booklet focused on the teaching by investigation with high school students. The research will take place through five stages that involve: interviewing students, elaboration and application of investigative didactic strategies aimed at microbiology in agriculture, application of a questionnaire to assess learning and, finally, the construction of a didactic booklet focused on teaching by investigation. Data will be analyzed through content analysis as proposed by Bardin (2011). It is expected with this work to provide improvement to the educational process through the generated product, namely, the didactic booklet, promoting a more meaningful teaching about microorganisms and that arouses the interest of high school students for an agriculture that considers and understands the importance of microorganisms and their biotechnological application for the development of a new agricultural model in the region.
