Environmental Education. Environment. Awareness
This work aimed to understand the concept of environmental education of a high school student from a school in Ji-Paraná, RO, as well as the proposal to create a field guide for the use of ecological trails, as a didactic resource. The research was developed in the year 2019, where students from a class of first, another from second year and another from third year, after exposing the content of ecology, answered a questionnaire containing six questions about the environment. Then they were invited to participate in a class in the field, at the Parque Ecológico Municipal de Ji-Paraná, each class went on a Saturday to get to know the space and observe the nature and changes made by humans. After classes in the field, in the classroom they answered another questionnaire with six questions related to the environment, but different from the first questionnaire they had answered. Based on the responses of the two questionnaires, it was possible to analyze the concept of environmental education that students have and observe the degree of involvement of each in relation to the theme. After the analysis and the results obtained, a field guide was created for the use of ecological trails with the function of guiding people on the benefits of these environments and also guiding on the preservation and conservation of green areas in urban spaces, in addition to information on care that must be taken when using an ecological trail.
