RESUMO:

Anthropogenic changes have been causing several irreparable damage to the Cerrado, which is considered one of the global biodiversity hotspots. These changes are identified as the main responsible for a series of impacts. Among the high biodiversity of species that occur in the Cerrado, anuran amphibians stand out, as they have a high richness, a high degree of endemism and they are animals with a high habitat specificity, which is why they are considered the most threatened group of vertebrates in the world. Understanding how anurans are distributed over space and time is extremely important for the conservation of species, since knowledge about biogeographic, macroecological and natural history patterns is a great conservation tool. We updated the existing list of anuran species of Cerrado, using macroecological and biogeographic approaches together with information on natural history traits and species conservation conditions. We recorded 306 species of anurans distributed in 17 families, with 25% endemism for the biome. We added 107 species of anurans to the Cerrado list, since 68 species had their respective geographic distributions expanded, while 39 were described for the Cerrado. The descriptions of anuran species are mainly concentrated in the central portion of this domain and, to a lesser extent, in the southern portion, while the expansion of the geographical distribution of anurans occurred in several locations, however, these were concentrated in greater density in the southwest portion of this domain. Among the anurans of the Cerrado, 268 have advertisement calls described in the literature, while 210 species have their tadpoles known to science, the body size of the species ranged from 11.5 to 250 mm (50.37 ± 36.6 mm) and presented a smaller body size when comparing the other lists. When evaluating the conservation status of the species, we observed that 189 are classified as LC, 50 as DD, 2 as NT and only 5 species are considered endangered, 1 EN and 4 CR species. Of the species found for the Cerrado, 232 are found in the protected area network, however 66 species are recorded in only one protected area and only 38 data deficient and 3 endangered species are found in the protected area network. With our results, it was possible to identify patterns of the species distribution records for the Cerrado and assist in conservation measures that urgently need to be implemented for the maintenance of existing species and the description of new ones.
