THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE PORTUGUESE AND SPANISH LANGUAGES IN THE ENUNCIATION SPACE OF THE PORTUGUESE LANGUAGE OF BRAZIL ON THE WEST BORDER OF MATO GROSSO

This research, is in line with the Area of Study of Linguistic Processes, Research Line of Studies of the Processes of Signification of the Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Programme in Linguistics of the State University of Mato Grosso (UNEMAT) in co-program with the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) in the Doctoral Programme in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics, has the purpose of analyzing the relation between Brazilian Portuguese and Bolivian Spanish languagesin the Brazilian Portuguese enunciation space in the city of Cáceres, western border of Mato Grosso Brazil. The enunciation space configuredin this border region, officialized as a border of twin cities, on one side the Brazilian city of Cáceres/Mato Grosso and, on the other side, the Bolivian city of San Matias/Province of Ángel Sandóval, is defined in a space in which speakers are taken, among so many languages, by the Brazilian Portuguese language and the Spanish language of Bolivia, this relation of languages and speakers, in this enunciation space, constitutes the speaking commonly named portunhol. For this, we consider the political of language, because the utterances of this relation are enunciated by speakers affected by the political who are characterize by the ways and rights of saying, an unequal distribution for the operation of these languages, giving them the place of hierarchy. Our thesis seeks to observe and describe this relation of boundary languages, that is, to observe the linguistic practices that result from the contact/crossing between the dominant languages of the border, Portuguese and Spanish. To do so, we take some designations of the term portunhol that are enunciated in the Brazilian Portuguese enunciation space that are worked as a category of analysis. Our theoretical and methodological approach is based on the constitutive
enunciative studies proposed by Guimarães (2002, 2005, 2007b, 2011,2018) and Dias (2013, 2016, 2018a,  2018b and 2021) from the perspective of the Semantics of Enunciation, a Semantics that deals with meaning in the event of saying, in the enunciation, which considers the inclusion of the exteriority of language (the subject, history). Thus, considering ourselves as semanticists, we seek to understand language as a relation of meanings in which the materiality of language, history and the subject that enunciates are included. Our analysis material will be constituted through semi-structured interviews clipping, through Google Forms questionnaire (writing), synchronous interviews on Google Meet and in person (orality), collected in the enunciation space of the Brazilian Portuguese language in the city of
Cáceres/MT that borders San Matias/AS. To notice the research, we followed some topics for the characterization of the western border of Mato Grosso, namely: a space shared by the presence of the Brazilian Portuguese and the Spanish Bolivian languages; the complexity of the linguistic variations in the region, the cultural differences and socio-economic asymmetries. Thus, we will analyze our corpus in the enunciative perspective, in which the enunciation is taken as the place that produces the meaning. And to lead the discussion, initially, we propose some distinctions from different authors who deal with and whith ‘’portunhol’’. (LIPSKI, 2009; MOTA, 2012; STURZA, 2004, 2006, 2019; WALTER¬MIRE, 2012; STURZA AND TATSCH, 2016). Then we will work with non-stable portunhol (MATESANZ DEL BARRIO, 2019), in articulation with the studies of intercomprehension as multilingual discourse; of linguistic awareness of intercomprehension and of Bilingualism: Portuguese and Spanish (MATESANZ DEL BARRIO, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2022; MÜLLER DE OLIVEIRA, 2013, 2018, 2019), (MATESANZ DEL BARRIO, 2015; 2019; CALVO DEL OLMO, 2019, 2021).
