This thesis, part of the research line Studies of Meaning Processes of the Stricto Sensu Graduate Program in Linguistics at the State University of Mato Grosso (UNEMAT), aims to undertake a study, through the construction of experimental protocols that allow us to relate a set of utterances, from the linguistic unit NOVO in attributive position, with a simulation of dialogue between subjects. According to the assumptions of the Theory of Predicative and Enunciative Operations (TOPE), what interests us, in fact, are the operations and abstract schemes that support the trajectory (from the cognitive level to the language) that the subject makes when stabilizing value for the unit linguistics NOVO. We start from the hypothesis that the categorization does not contribute to the understanding of how the experiential variation of the subjects underlies the determination of the meanings of the linguistic unit NOVO placed before and after the name in a singular situation of language practice. Thus, we theoretically base ourselves on Culioli (1985, 1990, 1999a, 1999b, 2018) and on his followers such as, for example, Rezende (2000), Romero (2000), Lima (2000), Pria (2009, 2013, 2018), De Vogué (2004, 2009, 2011), Franckel (2011) and Paillard (2011). Our methodology was based on the activity of reformulation, also known as glossing or paraphrasing (FRANCKEL, 2011; FUCHS, 1985). Thus, we elaborated 20 utterances for analysis and divided them into two groups, namely: 1) occurrences of the linguistic unit NOVO placed before the name and, 2) occurrences of the linguistic unit NOVO after the name. The organization of the statements elaborated for the analyzes in these two groups is justified by the fact that the preposition and postposition of NOVO are governed by distinct enunciative operations, which, despite seeming obvious, is a first step towards thinking about the categorization process linked to the intra and intersubjective relationships. The results explain that the occurrences of the linguistic unit NOVO placed before the name is the mark of the way out of an obstacle built by making X visible. NOVO is the individuation mark of X; On the other hand, NOVO postponed to the name is a mark of the updating of an occurrence X in a singular enunciative situation.
