This Thesis, Plant/Text: between the/and (non-) linguistic taken to the study of meaning, inscribed in the research line Studies of Signification Processes of the Graduate Program Stricto Sensu in Linguistics of the State University of Mato Grosso (UNEMAT), proposes to develop an enunciative semantic study of the language event (Architectural Plan), of the Mother Church of Cáceres - MT, Cathedral of São Luiz de Cáceres. As an object of reflection, we chose a set of texts, specifically what we call plant/text, in order to probe and analyze the constitutive designation of the meaning of names, statements and other elements in the relationship of integration to this unit of meaning, symbolic functioning and its historicity. This study seeks to understand how the utterances, names, linguistic expressions, elements (non) linguistic integrated to the plan/text when articulated with other texts say about the construction of the Cathedral, build meanings that rewrite and make (re)mean the imposing work of the Catholic Church built in the historic center of the city of Cáceres, in the State of Mato Grosso? How do city names, church name, place, dates, numbers, chain, street, Travessa, Largo among other elements mean in the relationship of integration with the text, the plan? How are names designated in the articulation and rewriting relation constituted in the enunciative functioning integrated in the text? And, how does the plan/text mean as text while the names, the words, expressions to be believed, receive new (re)meanings and project new meanings to the designation construction of the Cathedral São Luiz de Cáceres? To answer these questions the corpus consists of written memorials (various documents), and specifically three plants:  Plant of Villa Maria of Paraguay- 1778; plant S. Luiz de Cáceres -1876; and in a specific and very particular way we analyzed the plan of the Cathedral São Luiz de Cáceres dated 25/09/1994, comprising it with its Low Plant, Cutting Plant and Cover Plant, taken to the study of significance. The theoretical-methodological foundation is based on Event Semantics (2002), Text analysis: procedures, analysis, teaching (2012), Enunciation and Meaning Semantics (2018), developed by Eduardo Guimarães. Dias (2018), and other authors such as Karim/Silva/Macedo-Karim (2018, 2021), Silva/Ferreira/Silva/Velozo (2021), Zattar (2011, 2016), which corroborate the enunciative semantic study developed. This perspective allows us to consider the plan as text. From this position we propose the challenge of developing this study, according to which we consider the village plan, the city plan and the Cathedral plan, as a plan/text. Therefore, from the surveys it is observed that the units of language that integrate the plan/text, constitute meanings and mean in the language functioning of this event, by ways of saying, whose temporality specifies it, means, designate and historicize events as: the construction of the monumental Cathedral of San Luiz de Cáceres.
