RESUMO:

The quality of Brazilian education and the investments made in education are established themes that make up almost all-party political advertisements in election years. The context caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, in turn, crossed institutional discourses, forcing schools to adapt their routines to continue their daily work. This dissertation is part of the line of research “Studies of Discursive Processes” of the Graduate Program in Linguistics at the Mato Grosso State of University (UNEMAT) and is anchored in a reflection on statements that give visibility to investments in digital technology in education during the covid-19 pandemic, to which, I provide social experiences such as distancing, remote teaching, hybrid teaching, etc... Through research and based on theory, we analyze, in statements published on the official pages the Mato Grosso state of Government, the Effects of Sense, the reformulation processes, the ruptures, the failures and the silencing present in these speeches. To do so, we take as a basis the linguistic studies of French Discourse Analysis, considering, above all, the authors: Michel Pêcheux and Eni Orlandi. The research had a qualitative nature and went through the definition of the bases of the research; project reformulation; literature review; and the selection/cutting and analysis of the discursive corpus. Structurally, in addition to the pre and post textual elements, the introduction and final considerations, this work is organized into three more chapters: the first rescues excerpts from the history of digital technologies in national education and makes a chronological summary of the main official texts published with the purpose of organizing society's actions in the context of the pandemic, the second is a brief review of the concepts of Discourse Analysis that were used in the analyzes and the last deals with the analysis of the discursive corpus that allowed us to answer the problem question mobilized by the research; what effects of meaning are caused by the institutional discourse of the Government of the State of Mato Grosso when referring to investment in digital technologies for state education in the context of the covid-19 pandemic? With that, we analyze the linguistic resources used in the materiality of the chosen corpus discourses, reflecting on the Effects of Meaning, Discursive Event, Discursive Memory, Production Conditions, the concept of Subject and Ideology, and the failures that move the senses to the construction of other meanings.
