RESUMO:

The main aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between digital literacy and teaching resilience of English teachers from state schools in Mato Grosso, in the context of emergency remote teaching (ERE). To do so, I draw on literacy studies (KLEIMAN, 1995-2008; MOLLICA,2007; ROJO, 2009; SOARES, 2009; STREET, 2007-2014) and digital literacy (BARTON; LEE, 2015; BUZATO, 2006; COSCARELLI , 2012; DUDENEY; HOCLY; PEGRUM, 2016; LEFFA, 2006; PAIVA, 2019; RIBEIRO, 2009; ROJO, 2009). I also draw on considerations about emergency remote teaching postulated by authors who explore the theme (COSCARELLI, 2020; JUNQUEIRA, 2020; PAIVA, 2019; RODRIGUES, 2020; ROJO, 2020). Finally, I present studies of resilience and teacher resilience that support this investigation (GU; DAY, 2007-2013; JAMES; BRANDÃO, 2019; MANSFIELD et al., 2012). These studies deal with teaching resilience from the complexities that underlie it, that is, in this perspective, resilience is understood as a complex, dynamic, idiosyncratic, contextual and cyclical process, going beyond its understanding as an innate quality or competence. This investigation is based on the dynamics of narrative research (LIEBLICH; TUVAL-MASHIACH; ZILBER, 1998) which is presented both as a method. The corpus that constitutes the investigation (the narratives of the participating teachers) collaborates for the construction of meanings from the results of this research, as well as to give voice to the participating subjects, since the narrative research does not seek to present the absolute truth, but rather a way to think about the experience from the act of telling (BARCELOS, 2006;2020; MELLO, 2020; PAIVA; 2019, TELLES, 2002).
