RESUMO:

The present text, Plant/Text: an enunciative semantic event of the Plant of the Cathedral of São Luiz de Cáceres Mato Grosso[1], inscribed in the research lineStricto Sensu Degree in Linguistics from the State University of Mato Grosso (UNEMAT), proposes to develop an enunciative semantic study of the language event (Architectural Plant), the Mother Church of Cáceres - MT, the Cathedral of São Luiz de Cáceres, to probe and analyze the designation of utterances that integrate it, a position that considers the sense as constitutive of symbolic functioning and its historicity. Therefore, by different surveys, specifically, we probe how the statements integrated to the Plant when articulated with other texts that say about the construction of the Cathedral, build meanings that rewrite and make (re)mean the important work of the Catholic Church, in the historic center of the city of Cáceres in the State of Mato Grosso. The corpus consists of written memorials (miscellaneous documents), Map of the entire Captaincy of Mato Grosso - 1777; Facade of the Original Project - 1918; three plants: Plant of Villa Maria do Paraguay- 1778; plant S. Luiz de Cáceres -1876; and in a specific and very particular way we will analyze the Plan of the Cathedral São Luiz de Cáceres dated 25/09/1994, comprising its Floor Plan, Cutting Plant and Cover Plant, taken to the study of significance. Based on the theoretical-methodological approach of Event Semantics/Enunciation developed strongly in Brazil, by Eduardo Guimarães (2002, 2005, 2011, 2017, 2018); Karim/Silva/Macedo-Karim (2018, 2021), Dias (2018), researchers who think of the map as a text perspective that allows us to consider the plant as text. From this position we propose the challenge of developing this study, according to which we consider the Cathedral Plan and the city plan as Plant/Text, as a materiality of analysis, because we consider that "the plant is specified by constituting its own temporality[2]" as the Plan/Text is an event that is presented and specified in a very particular way. Therefore, from the surveys we observe how the units of language that integrate the Plan/Text, constitute meanings and mean in the language functioning of this event, whose temporality specifies, means, designates and historicizes events such as: the construction of the monumental Cathedral of San Luiz de Cáceres.
