In this work, enrolled in the research line Studies of Discursive Processes, of the Postgraduate Program in Linguistics of the State University of Mato Grosso, we will undertake a gesture of analysis, supported by the theoretical analytical device of Discourse Analysis, through an approach of theoretical affiliation, constituted by Linguistics, Marxism and Psychoanalysis, in order to understand the functioning of denial, through hate speeches against black people in social networks. In this sense, we will use as a corpus of analysis of our research, the rules of conduct published on the social network Facebook and selected posts from the Twitter platform. Our research question is: How does hate speech against black people on social media work? From this questioning, we will reflect on the functioning of the social imaginary of the black subject in society and in social networks, as well as the racist ideology which, supported by the capitalist system, uses hate speech as a practice of social control, to maintain the domination and control of the most fragile social classes, among them, the black subject. The circulation of hate speech against black people is part of history, produced in different socio-historical contexts and by different subjects, accompanied the conditions of production, now with the technological advance of society and digital media, it is also produced and reproduced through social networks. In this perspective, we will also make a historical approach to hate speech, in relation to the black subject, since the colonial period, until modernity, to understand the functioning of structural racism in society, through this racist ideological practice.
