RESUMO:

This research aims to analyze, through the Complex Dynamic Systems Theory (LARSENFREEMAN, 2017; MORIN, 2013; PAIVA, 2011; CAMERON, 2008; HOLLAND, 1995), the dynamics of continuing education practices of English teachers in Basic Education, developed by the English teacher trainer of the state agency CEFAPRO (Center for Training and Updating of Basic Education Professionals), in the city of Pontes e Lacerda - MT. Since the teachers are inserted in the school environment, they need to keep up with technological development and digital society, which has access to the world wide web, teacher training practices must take into account that the internet, or cyberspace (LÉVY, 2010) itself, have reoriented other ways of producing, evaluating and treating knowledge. To carry out this qualitative, interpretive case study, the collection instruments were interviews and questionnaires on Google Forms with trainers and teachers, as well as visits for observation during training meetings. Thus, the analysis registered how the dynamics of the practices of the English teacher trainer are presented in the teachers training at CEFAPRO-Pontes e Lacerda and how they benefit the process of continuing education of the English teachers.
