RESUMO:

Translation is in everywhere. Today, in a globalized world, we are in contact with translation all the time, and it can be by a specific way or other. Its path and becoming in the history of humanity as an operation that puts different languages in relation, leads us to seek to understand its working and its constitution as a discipline of language studies from different ways and theories. From Cícero and Saint Jeronimo to the present day, translation has sometimes been outstanded as a challenge to be solved in the fields of Philosophy, Literature and Linguistics, and sometimes, as a definitive solution for communication between peoples and global development. However, translation, as well as any discipline that involves a secular discussion about its characteristics and definitions, imposes its scientific, historical and even philosophical problems and difficulties. On occasion to understand translation from a theoretical and methodological place assumed among differents areas of Linguistic Science, the Semantics of the Event, developed by Guimarães (2002-2018), the purpose of this work is to investigate, substantiate and support decisive and particular aspects of translation, taking it as a procedure of rewriting by mimetic substitution. In this way, our investigations will take place along a path that aims to discuss the history and the relation among translation, language and language working, bringing translation closer to our theoretical position, considering it as an enunciative event, as an enunciation. Therefore, discussions about some relevant aspects of the semantics of enunciation as event, temporality, enunciation space, enunciative scene and, mainly, text and rewriting, will be frequently present in the course of our work. Also, to give the meaning and define translation in a specific way, we will take ourselves in close dialogue with another areas of observation of language studies developed by Orlandi (2008, 2009, 2012), Eco (2007, 2014), Ricoeur (2011, 2012), Oustinoff (2011), Steiner (2015), Dias (2018), Arrojo (2007) among many other theorists and researchers that will be brought to our discussions. Still, philosophy will allow us to achieve part of our purpose when reflecting on the Aristotelian Mimesis, considering translation as a rewriting by substitution procedure signified as mimetic, moving the meanings of imitation as reproduction to the place of imitation as the production of the new , opening space for discussions on notions such as similarity, difference, appropriation and expropriation. Finally, we will apply this methodological and analytical device, rewriting by mimetic substitution, in analyzes of texts that are widely translated and that produce effects of different meanings for and in the global population, as a means of sustaining its working as a procedure that means translation from a enunciative perspective.
