A CASE STUDY: THE ENUNCIATIVE FUNCTIONING OF THE NOUN IN SCHOOL BOOKS IN REGULAR HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF CACERES-MT

Statement, textbook, noun, Semantics of the Event

This enunciative study is inscribed in the research line Studies of Meaning Processes of the Stricto Sensu Graduate Program in Linguistics at the University of the State of Mato Grosso (UNEMAT). Technological and pedagogical instruments are fundamental for the constitution of knowledge, knowledge that is constituted in the relationship between subjects, language and the world. In this study we do not want to show the normative side of the language, determined by grammatical rules, nor to deal with a pragmatic position of the language. Our proposal seeks to emphasize the functioning of language as a construction of meanings. Thus, this research aims to analyze by bias, the formation and functioning of the noun in the event of saying in textbooks, the clippings are present in three textbooks, pedagogical instruments, which were used in the classroom in public schools in Cáceres MT, they are, years and authors: Portuguese: Language, Literature, Text Production (2004), by the authors Maria Luiza Abaurre, Marcela Nogueira Pontarra and Tatiana Fadel, the second textbook and Portuguese Languages 2, Literature, Text Production, Grammar (2010), by authors Willian Roberto Cereja and Thereza Cochar Magalhães and the third entitled Portuguese 2, context, interlocution and meaning (2016) by authors Maria Luiza M. Abaurre, Maria Bernadete M, Abaurre and Marcela Pontara. I consider that the textbook constitutes a language event, as presented by Semantics of the Event in Guimarães (2002, 2011, 2018), “the enunciation, as an event, is made by the functioning of language. […] I consider that something is an event as a difference in its own order. And what characterizes the difference is that the event is not a fact in time. In other words, it is not a new fact insofar as it is distinct from any other that occurred before in time. What characterizes it as different is that the event temporalizes. (2002, p. 11). This allows Guimarães to say that language is conceived as non-transparent considering its relationship between the speaker and the reality of the story in the event of saying. In other words, meanings are constructed in the event of saying.
