RESUMO:

This thesis, inscribed in the research line Study of Discursive Processes, aims to understand the relationship between the subject and the language and his submission to history as a condition to signify himself and his own language, so that he can produce his speech. Thus, emphasizing the real of language (incompleteness) and real of history (contradiction) to then realize the effects of meanings produced in the formulation and circulation of language policies proposed by the National Student Performance Exam (ENADE). We will intertwine the Pecheutian Discourse Analysis (DA) with the History of Linguistic Ideas (HIL) to carry out this work, considering the history of written language policies legitimized by the School and the State. Our objective, through the discursive perspective, is to understand the meanings put into operation by the historicity that instituted the Enade evaluation proposal. Thus, we formulate the following questions: What are the effects of meanings produced in the installation of the laws that order this process? What imaginary profile of academic subject and language (reading, writing) does the evaluation process produce? Thus, based on these and other inquiries, we built our corpus by analyzing the linguistic/discursive materiality of Law No. 10,861/2004, of Ordinance n. 493/ Inep/2017, of the National Curriculum Guidelines for Literature Courses in Brazil, and how these influence the constitution of the Enade Test (2017), and finally, we will understand the dissemination of the evaluation results in advertisements published on institutional websites and by the media . Throughout our work, we will understand how meanings are constructed by the notions of language, subject, reading, writing, conceived by the language jurisdiction documents, thus realizing how such concepts can be re-signified by AD through the game between paraphrase and polysemy in the process of meaning of subjects and language. We make this path considering the real orders of language and history, understanding the non-linearity and literality of the senses, the character of incompleteness, opacity and non-transparency of language; the decentering of the subject, through the historical-ideological subjection and the discursive memory, which conforms all the saying, as advocated by Gadet and Pêcheux (2004). In this way, entering the discourses of language policies allows us to understand the ideological effects, the unsaid that constitute them, and that install meanings by/for subjects.
