RESUMO:

This study is part of the research line “Discursive Process Studies” of the Postgraduate Program in Linguistics at the State University of Mato Grosso (UNEMAT) and in the theoretical perspective of Discourse Analysis, developed in the late 1960s, in França, by Michel Pêcheux in partnership with other authors, and disseminated and expanded by Eni Puccinelli Orlandi, in Brazil, from the 1970s onwards. Our objective is to analyze, through a discursive perspective, the gestures of resistance in the songs of Chico César in the past of pandemic and bolsonarism, in order to understand the way in which the relationship between language and history constitutes subjects and meanings. Therefore, our research aims to analyze the gestures of resistance put into speech by the songs of the singer/songwriter, providing an understanding of the way in which the lyrics denounce and oppose the speeches put into circulation by President Bolsonaro and other subjects who identify themselves with their speeches, materializing a relationship of conflict, of litigation that is established in the current Brazilian political scenario. Thus, our corpus is composed of songs composed and/or interpreted by Chico César that produce meaning effects related to the pandemic and pocketbookism, reverberating discourses that circulate in the various media that make up the mass media, especially in the news sites of the world network the internet, materializing the disrespectful speeches of the current president of the country, Jair Messias Bolsonaro, about the pandemic and, consequently, the lives of Brazilians, minimizing the destructive and lethal character of the coronavirus. Taking these speeches as effects of discursive events, as they mark the relationship of a current situation with the memory of saying – as in the case of the Arab Spring and the demonstrations of 2013; the impediment of the mandate of Dilma Rousseff; the arrival of Bolsonaro to the Presidency of Brazil and the Covid-19 pandemic -, we aim to understand how the senses are constituted and installed, from the observation of production conditions in a broad and narrow sense, in order to culminate in the current political events in Brazil, as well as producing indelible effects on the social fabric.
