RESUMO:

The current forms of reading result from “the emergence of new social practices, arising from modern life, which, in turn, require the subject to assume other or new skills to deal with reading and writing activities” (VALE; STRIQUER, 2014 , p.211) Thus, there is an urgent need for the student to develop language skills that correspond to the current context mediated by technology and, consequently, learn to “make and sustain decisions, make choices and assume conscious and reflective positions” (BNCC, 2017, p.477). In this sense, the school has an important role in creating spaces and contemporary updates that allow these online reading practices to happen. This research aims to contribute to the constitution of a more qualified and critical subject-reader in face of the new textual materiality put into circulation, particularly in the online context, doing this based on the understanding and interpretation of Fake News. I adopt the Complex Dynamic Systems (SDC) as a theoretical aspect and I understand the reading practices as a complex system, since “its behavior emerges from the interactions of its component” (LARSEN-FREEMAN AND CAMERON, 2008, p.2). In this way, based on the theoretical assumptions of the SDC, all data collected from the recordings of the discussions during each face-to-face meeting of the workshop Reading and Interpreting Text - Beyond Fake News, developed with the students of the classes, were analyzed 3rd year of the Escola Estadual União e Força. This workshop aimed to contribute so that the participating students could understand other modes of reading existing both in the offline and online contexts, doing this through Fake News. Thus, I also analyze all clippings of the WhatsApp group posts from the workshop collected by the print screen tool. In addition, I take Fake News as materiality for analysis. This research presents a way to approach and develop Fake News in schools as a way to contribute to a more critical subject-reader in the face of new texts in an era marked by Post-truth.
