Abstract

Between the installation and the consolidation of cinema as an art, a long process of relationship between subject and technology, mutually constitutive, is inscribed and continues to be inscribed. Thus, in this work, we reflect about this path when we analyze speeches about and from cinema, therefore, sayings linked to the cinematographic constitution, as well as a film, which is taken as a product of the cinema scope. Affiliated to Discourse Analysis (AD) of French line and materialist base - concentration area that belongs to the research line Study of Discursive Processes of the Postgraduate Program in Linguistics at the Universidade do Estado de Mato Grosso (PPGL/UNEMAT) - we base ourselves in the understanding of discourse as an effect, brought by Pêcheux and reframed by Orlandi. The referred theoretical area proposes insights tangent to the subject, to the language, always reflecting them in relation to the memory of sayings, affecting discourses today and promoting the discursive event. In AD, there is no transparency in the building of the words (presented in different typologies), nor by those who formulate them. We undertake, therefore, to understand the constitution of the subject of desire, based on the specific materiality of the film, giving visibility to how the subject says himself through the verbal, the sonorous, the imagetic from a film that deals with the connection of the subjects among themselves, as well as with the Other, amalgamated with technology, in a futuristic projection on the scene - liable to metaphorizations of bonds that engender subjects in the (un)known, woven in the current social situation. Through such theoretical foundation and analyzed materialities, we were able to understand that there are no watertight divisions between subject and technology and that the question of desire invades it, as a place of displacement. From our analysis, it was possible to understand how the lack can be signified not only in the failure and in the absence presented in the language, but also in its conjunction with the imagery, in all the techniques produced by the machine, in the filmic-significant materiality.
