RESUMO:

This research is part of the concentration area: Study of linguistic processes, linked to the line of research: Study of discursive processes, from the Postgraduate Program in Linguistics at the State University of Mato Grosso (PPGL / UNEMAT). Our goal is to investigate how the student's identification process takes place in relation to the cultural identity of the Chiquitano people. For this purpose, we take as material of analysis, indigenous legends marked by the students and brought to the school space, from a pedagogical proposal that generated a textual production, followed by an oral production, which was recorded in audio. In this work, we are guided by the Discourse Analysis theory of a materialist line, formulated by Michel Pêcheux and researchers belonging to his research group, in France, in the 60s and reformulated by Eni Puccinelli Orlandi, in Brazil, from the decade 70s, along with other scholars. Through the discursive bias, we seek to understand the relations of the speeches, in this space, with the memory, through the indigenous legends contained in the school, taking into account the conditions of their production. In this case, it is a school located in the city of Porto Esperidião-MT, a border town with Bolivia, the country of origin of the Chiquitano people. We emphasize that all knowledge about the student subject Chiquitano, who for other reasons requires leaving the villages to live in the city, will bring us knowledge about the processes of identification with Chiquitano cultural identity, in the relationship with other cultures. Thus, for the analysis of the identification processes, the relationship between space, the event and the discursive memory is fundamental. In this perspective, the functioning of memory in the subject occurs through the narrative, because according to Orlandi (2017, p. 207), it is through the narrativity that we understand how memory “works in the production of meanings for and subjects, under determined conditions.” Therefore, when analyzing a discourse, it is necessary to think that memory says about how the subject means. Thus, the circulation of legends means in a space different from the original, in which memory is said in processes of identification of the subject, affirming a certain space of meaning (ORLANDI, 2017).
