RESUMO:

This research is registered in the area of concentration: Study of linguistic processes, linked to the line of research Study of discursive processes, in which we seek to investigate as the process of identification of the subject Chiquitano takes place, taking as material of analysis four legends, that were formulated in the villages and narrated in the school space by students descendants Chiquitano. In this work, we are guided by the Discourse Analysis theory of a materialistic line, created by Michel Pêcheux, in France, in the 60's and developed by Eni Puccinelli Orlandi, in Brazil, from the 70's, to understand the relations of the speeches , in the school space, with memory, through the indigenous legends that circulated in the school, taking into account their production conditions. In this case, it is a school located in the city of Porto Esperidião-MT, a border town with Bolivia, the country of origin of the Chiquitano people. We emphasize that all knowledge about the subject Chiquitano, who for other reasons need to leave the villages to live in the city, will bring us important information to better understand their relationship with other subjects, with other cultures, in the school space, and especially, if there is room for the culture of the Chiquitano subject in the school where he studies. To analyze the identification processes, the relationship between space, the event and the discursive memory is fundamental. In this perspective, the functioning of memory in the subject occurs through narrativity, because according to Orlandi (2017, p. 207), it is through narrativity that we understand how memory “works in the production of meanings for and by subjects, under determined conditions.” Therefore, when analyzing a discourse, it is necessary to think that memory says about how the subject means. Thus, the circulation of legends means in a space different from the original, in which memory is said in processes of identification of the subject, affirming a certain space of meaning (ORLANDI, 2017).
