RESUMO:

This intervention project aims to carry out work with literary reading, with students from the 6th and 7th grade of elementary school at the Laranjeira I field school, in order to awaken a taste for literature and develop the production of reading and writing. The action will take place through the narrative genre of the horror tale, in view of the students' preference for the genre. We are based on the theoretical contributions of Rildo Cosson (2006), Paulo Freire (1989), Vicent Jouve (2022), among others, to strengthen the commitment to overcoming difficulties related to reading and writing, perceived in students. It is intended to promote a recovery work, by the students, of oral narratives in their family context, to establish a transition between these and contemporary horror narratives, in order to develop strategies for reading the literary text and to perceive structural and socio-cultural aspects in the texts. As a product, it is expected to produce a book with the students, in cartonera format, a book with cardboard binding. The focus of the work starts from the student's preference as a basis to start a long path towards the pleasurable discovery of the act of reading.
