RESUMO:

This dissertation work is part of the research line Teacher Training, Pedagogical Policies and Practices, which is part of the Postgraduate Program in Education - PPGEdu – Master's Degree in Education, from the State University of Mato Grosso – UNEMAT, whose theme central is the Mathematics Training of the Pedagogue and the teaching of Mathematics in the initial years of Elementary School. The research has as its guiding question: How does the initial training curriculum for pedagogues prepare them to teach mathematics in the early years of Elementary School, from the perspective of Pedagogy students and teachers at UNEMAT/Cáceres? The general objective is to understand the articulation of specific and pedagogical knowledge of mathematical training for the initial years of elementary school in the initial training curriculum for pedagogues, from the perspective of Pedagogy students and teachers at UNEMAT/Cáceres. The research has a qualitative approach, characterized as training research with case study strategies, in which we will use the methodological procedures of bibliographic, documentary and field research. The locus of the research is the Full Degree course in Pedagogy, at the State University of Mato Grosso (UNEMAT), University Campus “Jane Vanini”, in the municipality of Cáceres-MT. The subjects participating in the research were organized into two groups, namely the teachers of the Pedagogy course who are involved with mathematical training and responsible for the subjects of Mathematics Contents and Methodologies for the Beginning of Schooling I and II and Supervised Curricular Internships and the students in the last spheres (7th and 8th) of the same course. To obtain the data, bibliographic, documentary and field procedures were used. A questionnaire was used to profile the participants and conversation circles with both groups of participants. Then, the data was organized into categories based on the theoretical framework adopted and the application of the content analysis technique proposed by Bardin (2016).
