RESUMO:

This research indicates and analyzes data referring to the attendance of early childhood education in private institutions contracted by municipalities in Mato Grosso. The general objective was to investigate the existence of transfer of resources from the Fund for Maintenance and Development of Basic Education and Valorisation of Education Professionals (Fundeb) for the provision of early childhood education (day care and pre-school) by a private provider in municipalities of Mato Grosso. Grosso, in the period 2015 – 2020. Data for analysis were obtained through consultations on the National Fund for the Development of Education (FNDE) portal. This is an exploratory documentary-based research in primary and secondary sources, with a quantitative-qualitative approach. The study starts from the statement by Corrêa and Adrião (2010) and Borghi et. Al (2014), that the presence of the private sector in the provision of early childhood education was strengthened through agreements as a result of the low cost of care, and that this practice was enhanced with the creation of the Basic Education Maintenance and Development Fund and Valuing Education Professionals (Fundeb), which allows for the consolidation of agreements in private sector institutions. The results analyzed so far allowed us to identify that the agreement policy has been adopted in greater concentration in the intermediate geographic region of Cuiabá, which holds 75% of the partner institutions located by the research. On the other hand, in the intermediate region of Cáceres, no agreement was found for this teaching stage. The intermediate regions of Barra do Garças, Rondonópolis and Sinop together add up to 25%.
