RESUMO:

This research on Permanence in high school in the covid-19 pandemic scenario with emergency remote teaching and the implications for access to higher education, will be presented to the Graduate Program in Education - PPGEdu of the University of the State of Mato Grosso – UNEMAT. In this sense, it is linked to the research line Teacher Training, Pedagogical Policies and Practices, correlated to the Research Group on Access and Permanence in Higher Education – GPAPES of UNEMAT. Whose objective is to analyze the permanence of students in High School (EM), especially after it became mandatory by the State and exceptionally in the scenario of the covid-19 pandemic with the adoption of Emergency Remote Education, emphasizing the challenges for access to Higher Education (ES) in the calendar year 2021. Thus, we will use as a research method a case study with approaches: quantitative and qualitative, whose first step was to carry out a theoretical/bibliographic study with the objective of acquiring theoretical and scientific assumptions to understand the subject in greater depth. After the bibliographic survey, a survey of statistical data was carried out, correlated to the permanence in the EM available with public consultation in specific portals and, consequently, to analyze these data in the teaching unit EE "Onze de Março", through the following documents: Project Pedagogical Policy (PPP), EM curriculum matrices, Minutes of annual monitoring and final results of the classes, record book of protocols for withdrawing documents, among others adopted by the school unit of the state education network, maintained by Seduc/MT, in municipality of Cáceres, which only serves high school students. To support the research, a questionnaire with 36 open and closed questions was used as a data collection instrument, applied to students who attended the 3rd Year in 2020 (possible research subjects 184 students regularly enrolled) at the EE "Onze de Março" in Emergency Remote Teaching (ERE) and newcomers to Higher Education in the calendar year 2021, totaling 52 newcomers and of these 47 subjects collaboratively responded to the survey, regardless of the type of HEI (public or private) and the face-to-face, blended or distance learning modality. .
