THE NATIONAL PACT FOR LITERACY AT THE RIGHT AGE AND ITS OUTCOMES IN THE YEARS AFTER ITS CLOSING AT THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS OF JUARA/MT

This research was carried out with the objective of understanding how the public policy of continuing education offered to literacy teachers, called National Pact for Literacy in the Right Age (PNAIC), unfolded in the teaching performance of literacy teachers developed in Public Education in the municipality of Juara -MT, in the years following its closure: 2019, 2020 and 2021. In this sense, we understand that it is relevant to problematize the topic Teacher Training, initial and continuing within the context of public policies; contextualize the PNAIC as a public policy for training literacy teachers implemented nationwide, at state and municipal levels, offering training that intended to consider the current profile required of literacy teachers, with their specificities and commitments to literacy and literacy; to analyze, from the narratives of some of the profiles involved in the PNAIC training policy, the unfolding of the Program's actions in the training process and performance of literacy teachers and their implications for the performance of children's reading and writing competence; to present reflections about the teaching performance of literacy teachers articulated to the actions of the PNAIC. A qualitative research was carried out, based on interpretive assumptions, which articulated the theoretical survey carried out with empirical information collected from the coordinator and local trainers and literacy teachers in the municipality of Juara/MT.
