RESUMO:

This research aimed to evaluate the teaching of mathematical content, in partial derivatives, with students of the Computer Science course through an application with augmented reality resources. Besides the evaluation, the project included the mapping of the use of Augmented Reality resources in Mathematics teaching and the development of the application for evaluation by a group of experts. To this end, derivative activities were carried out using Augmented Reality resources. The application does not bring content in a systematized way, serving only as a didactic resource for the subject's teacher, who can compose it in his pedagogical method. Using custom descriptors, the user can point the mobile device camera at that descriptor, and when a metadata is recognized, information about the corresponding topic is entered on the screen. The context of data production took place at the State University of Mato Grosso, Dep. Est. Renê Barbour campus, in the municipality of Barra do Bugres, the participating subjects are professors who teach Calculus I in the Computer Science course. The research methodology used was the experimental research combined with qualitative descriptive research for the analysis, aiming at the understanding of aspects of the use of the application in the daily classroom. The theoretical foundation is based on Marc Prensky, who proposes that educators should teach both Legacy content (reading, writing, logical reasoning) and the Future (large-scale digital and technological content) in the language of Digital Natives. The result is the construction of an application, in the end, we sought to assess the potentialities and limitations of use of the application in class, allowing teachers, and in the future students, to avail themselves of a resource that can help them to have a better understanding of the content, and encourage educators to use a teaching language that is compatible with this new generation of students.
