RESUMO:

Environmental issues are a global concern, associated with the transformations that have occurred due to the activities of human interference in different environments, including water bodies. From this perspective, we question how Research-Based Education (EBI), mediated by research, can contribute to reading reality, in a questioning way to reconstruct it as a competent subject of concepts and actions, associated with the revitalization of Córrego Buriti, in Pontes e Lacerda -MT. The objective was to evaluate the use of EBI as a vector in teaching-learning research in Environmental Education (EA) in the revitalization process of Córrego Buriti. The research was carried out with 15 (fifteen) students from Elementary School in the final grades, 11 (eleven) students from the 7th (seventh) year and 4 (four) from the 8th year. It included the participation of 05 (five) teachers teaching the disciplines of geography, history, mathematics, science and IT. The research project was developed based on a qualitative approach in investigative research, we used the content analysis technique for the treatment and interpretation of the data produced. To produce the data, bibliographical research was used based on consultations in books, periodicals, websites, dissertations, theses, relevant legislation and investigative projects, from an interdisciplinary perspective. After approval of the research by the Research Ethics Committee (CEP), presentation of the project to the participants and signing of the Free and Informed Consent Form (TCLE), an initial questionnaire was applied to collect data on the knowledge that students had about the environment and water resources. Subprojects were developed, with the teaching staff focusing on the theme, using interviews with local residents, building the history of the Córrego; research on the geographic coordinates of the Stream; on-site visits to the source, central part and mouth of the Stream; soil was collected for analysis; measurement of stream water flow; orientation seminars and recreation focused on environmental concepts, focused on water resources at the 1st Ten Military State School. PM Carlos Henrique Paschoiotto Scheifer, at the Rosilei Pereira dos Santos Municipal School and the CEPEL School. The planning took place in meetings where joint actions were defined with E.E Militar 1º Lt. Carlos Henrique Paschiotto Scheifer and with the State University of Mato Grosso, Câmpus Pontes e Lacerda. The Project is under development. It remains to carry out water analysis and the results of soil analyzes (scheduled for October/November), the choice and planting of seedlings to revitalize the Stream (scheduled for the start of the rains). After planting the seedlings, the final questionnaire will be applied to compare with the initial questionnaire. The results already achieved allowed students to work on investigative activities, characterized by guided investigation, in which the teacher guides students on a given problem, and other processes and resolutions are subject to student commitment. The results of the actions obtained by the students were socialized in the form of reports, seminars, guided recess and conversation circles. To evaluate each student's investigative activities, we adopted investigative teaching sequences as a methodological reference, which include: problematization, systematization and contextualization. The EBI method has so far provided the possibility for students to build significant and contextualized knowledge of EA in conjunction with reality. From this perspective, the method has contributed to improving the teaching of concepts beyond EE, in Elementary School II, making it possible to observe bold learning, which is under continuous construction, on a daily basis, favored by the interdisciplinary actions used in this research.
