RESUMO:

In this research, we aim to investigate the processes of elaboration and implementation of Mathematical Modeling projects in the pedagogical practice of teachers who teach Mathematics in the literacy phase (1st and 2nd years) of Elementary School participating in an online continuing education course. Seeking to meet that objective, we constituted the following guiding question: What are the didactic-pedagogical possibilities of an online continuing education course for the preparation and implementation of Mathematical Modeling Projects in the Practice of teachers who teach Mathematics in the Literacy phase (1st and 2nd years) of Elementary School? Methodologically, we used qualitative research in the Research-Training modality to describe, analyze and interpret the responses of teachers participating in an online extension course entitled: Mathematical Modeling in the Literacy Phase carried out by the Study and Research Group on Mathematics Education in Schools - GEPEME /UNEMAT in May 2023 with a workload of 60 hours. To collect data, we used online questionnaires, with Questionnaire 1 available at: https://forms.gle/NhfgouD8CpVu8PP5A answered by 76 participating teachers, and Questionnaire 2 available at: https://forms.gle/XyqNfkRC3JpV5T5m9 answered by 48 participating teachers. To analyze the data, we resorted to Content Analysis from the perspective of Bardin (1977) and Rodrigues (2019), which will provide us with the configuration of Categories of Analysis, through which we carry out our interpretation through a dialogical movement - interlocution of data with the concepts guided by the theoretical contributions of the research. We emphasize that the finalization of the interpretation of the Analysis Categories and the final considerations will be explained in the body of this dissertation, after the Qualification Exam.
