RESUMO:

The objective of the present research is to study the mathematics learning gap of elementary school students, with bibliographic research on the subject showing an overview in Brazil. In addition to identifying, through a systematic review of the literature, whether there is a practice of pedagogical intervention to mitigate the resolution of mathematical learning problems identified in students. To this end, we will use as methods the bibliographic analysis more specifically the systematic review. For data analysis, systematization was carried out according to studies that demonstrate the students' abilities and what other factors are involved in the children's learning process. The research methodology adopted regarding the objectives is exploratory, having as a procedure the Bibliographic Research, conducted through a Systematic Review of Literature on studies published from the oldest publication of the subjects related to the research theme identified in the search platforms until (and including) the year 2020. Data analysis used a qualitative approach for demonstration, systematization and discussion, based on the results of the included studies, using the concepts of meta-cognition. The theoretical foundation is based on concepts related to different learning gaps. The search strategies identified 285,389 results, of which, after reading the titles and abstracts, they were considered potentially relevant and, after reading the other sections, 13 studies were included. From these studies, authorship data, general results such as source, place and year of publication, research method and subjects or contents worked were extracted, which are presented in this work, including a discussion on the learning gap of mathematics in elementary school students.
