Physical attributes and carbon stock of soils in different phytophysiognomies in the Southern Amazon
Soil physical attributes, phytophysiognomies, soil conservation
Knowledge about soil physical attributes in different phytophysiognomies is of great importance to understanding carbon retention in each system. Thus, the objective of this work is to study the physical characteristics of the soil (total porosity, macroporosity, microporosity, and density) in areas of cerrado, cerradão, transition, forest, and pasture and how these can differentiate these phytophysiognomies. The work will be carried out in native areas of cerrado, cerradão, transition, forest, and pasture areas in the municipality of Alta Floresta. Total porosity, macroporosity, and microporosity will be evaluated at different depths (0-0.10, 0.10-0.20, 0.20-0.30, and 0.30-0.40 m).
