RESUMO:
Acting as a substitute for combustion in boilers, biomass sorghum gained space in recent years, due to 
formidable characteristics of energy co-generation. In view of this, researches aimed at raising the productive 
potential are prioritized, however studies of genotype x environment interaction (G x A) have equal importance, 
since this is one of the biggest problems encountered in genetic improvement. Thus, this project aims identify 
and recommend sorghum biomass genotypes in different environments of the State of Mato Grosso, based on 
morphoagronomic characteristics related to energy generation. The project will be executed, primarily, in the 
cities of Cáceres, Nova Xavantina and Sinop. With a randomized block design, with three replications, in a 25 x 3 
factorial scheme, consisting of 25 sorghum biomass genotypes in 3 environments. The experimental plots will 
consist of 4 rows of five meters, spaced 0.70m apart. The evaluations will consist of in the two central rows of 
each plot and the characteristics evaluated will be: initial "Stand" and Final; flowering; plant height; bedded 
plants; number of plants harvested; production total green mass, total panicle production; and percentage of 
dry material. All data obtained will be subjected to analysis of variance, testing its significance by the F test, 
and the Averages will be tested by means of Scoot-Knott grouping at 5% probability. AND verified the presence 
of GxA interaction (significant F test) will be performed in the analysis of adaptability and stability of 
Wricke (1965) for dry mass production, characteristic directly related to energy production. For such analyses, 
the resources will be used. computations of the Genes program (CRUZ, 2013).
