CONFLUENCE BETWEEN THE ARTS: nature, culture and myth in Pedro Casaldáliga and Mari Bueno
Poetry. Painting. Interart Studies. Semiotics.
The present dissertation presents the result of a research that analyzed poetic configurations of the work Versos
Adversos: Antologia (2006), by the Spanish writer Pedro Casaldáliga and the engaged character of his poems, which,
through poetic images, emphasize the importance of nature, culture and myth in the literature produced in the State
of Mato Grosso. To achieve this desideratum, an analysis was carried out of the poems chosen under the semiotic bias
in the interart relations that involve the literary text and painting. In this way, a comparative study was carried out
between the work Versos Adversos: Antologia (2006) and the canvases painted by the plastic artist Mari Bueno, which
deal, each in its own way, with different realities that have points of contact in the field of meaning. , thus exposing
the Mato Grosso tradition through textual, historical and social data. Thus, the objective was to understand how the
process of correlation between poetic discourse and painting takes place through the transmutation of the meaning
arising from this fusion. Therefore, through qualitative methodological efforts of a bibliographic nature, the
research was based on the interdisciplinarity of comparative studies. In this sense, the examination of these two
areas of knowledge, that is, the literary text found in the poetry of Casaldáliga and the canvases created by the
artist Mari Bueno, was carried out in the light of semiotics, especially supported by the contributions of Greimas
(1917-1992), Pietroforte (2006), Souriau (1983), Wolffllin (2015), Gombrich (2000), Hauser (2003) Lótman (1978),
Eliade (1992) and Bosi (2000), which served as a foundation for this investigation, as they enabled the
understanding of our objects of analysis in their correlation with another artistic language. Thus, the confluence of
the literary work in a painting, in addition to promoting verisimilitude, plays a transforming role that can converge
to the same end, humanize and transform the individual and, consequently, change the environment in which it is
inserted, reconciling the sensitive with the the intelligible, in addition to contributing to the dissemination of a
cultural and artistic production of excellence that has been carried out in the state.
