The Sociolinguistic situation of the Kaiabi/Kawaiwete People, Aldeia Aipore - Marcelândia/Mato Grosso.

Starting from a sociolinguistic perspective, this research aims to describe and analyze data relating to the language of the Kaiabi/Kawaiwete people, specifically in relation to the people who inhabit the Aipore village, located in the municipality of Marcelândia, in Mato Grosso. Therefore, the objective of this investigation was to examine the sociolinguistic situation of the Kaiabi language of the Kaiabi/Kawaiwete people, considering different scenarios, ranging from instances associated with linguistic disuse to the maintenance of said language, in addition to investigating the existence of bilingualism between languages . indigenous Kaiabi/Kawaiwete and Portuguese, spoken by the people in question. Using a descriptive, qualitative and quantitative approach and the ethnographic method, 16 indigenous people were interviewed, divided into three generations G1 (children aged 8 to 12 years old) G2 (young people aged 18 to 26 years old) and G2 (adults aged 27 to 27 years). 48 years old), subdivided equally into female and male people, the approximate population of the Kaibi people of Aipore village is 70 people. Furthermore, the questions were prepared and adapted to the reality of the researched community, considering the prior knowledge acquired during the researcher's participant observation. Thus, as partial results, we can see the importance attributed to the Kaiabi language and the efforts to strengthen its presence in future generations of the Kaiabi/Kawaiwete people, as well as positive trends in relation to the use of the mother tongue by native speakers of the Kaiabi/Kawaiwete people , as well as its preservation over time.
